Pokerroom

has been treating me well recently, I ft'ed the "Grand" omaha tourney, and today ft'd their sunday 300. Unfortunately, i reraised a mid position raiser for most of my chips with kq, he happily called with ak, and I didn't get lucky.

Doing preety well in the full tilt and paradise sunday tournies, but still a long way to go.

It's PRETTY not preety lol and calling almost all your chips with KQ isn't so PRETTY either.. I think you play so many tourneys that you really don't mind being a dog in hands.. you either get chips then go on to the final table or bust out.. reraising a raiser with kq is well .. let's look at the hands he may have and see.. AA KK QQ JJ 10 10 99 of these 3 dominate you badly.. other 3 you are about even.. AK AQ you are dominated badly... any other pair about even .. so once again we see you are a huge dog or about even which makes you about a 2-1 dog overall based on the range of hands he may have.. sooooooooooo why do that? Maybe you will answer one of these posts otherwise I will just move on.... We can't get anywhere if you won't answer my posts! Either you don't have the time or don't have an answer? At least tell me which it is...there's really not much you can say about this situation.. It speaks for itself you are a huge dog or about even, so you are about 2-1 dog based on the range of his hands... as I have already said so my question is why put all your chips in??

This is another exanple of these *questionable* calls you have been making and you yourself admit to.. my final qurestion is why do it?? you didn't answer my last post about why you do it and I told you I would tell you why.. so... here goes.. you do it because of 2 reasons one is a possible lack of dicipline and 2nd is because in the past you have won many of these Questionable calls soyou continue to make them... when you lose 10-15 in a row as the dog you may think about these posts I have made to you...... SIGNED, YOUR POKER CONSCIENCE

"AA KK QQ JJ 10 10 99 of these 3 dominate you badly.. other 3 you are about even.. AK AQ"

Your range for this player is far too small.

Players raise, especially late in a tournament, with far less hands that will be layed down to a big reraise. He may fold hands like AQ, AJ, AT, TT-22, KQ, suited connectors, KJ, QJ, KT, etc. Ari's reraise represents a much larger hand than KQ, thus, making his opponent fold many hands (as mentioned before) If he gets called by AK, AQ, AA-QQ, he is in bad shape, but otherwise, he is either racing, or a 3-2 dog. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the play unless the player was extremely tight and would only raise AK, AQ, AA-QQ.

So Ari.. I mean Agri lol... What you are saying is it is an ok play to reraise, even all in an early position raiser with hands like AJ KQ etc hoping they will fold? And if they have a monster you just hope you can suck out?> so is there any reason to fold? or just call? or are both too weak? reraising big is the best play you feel?

I obv. try and pick my spots, and don't "just go all in" to any raise, but reraising w/ or w/o cards is a big part of what allows to get chips. If I never made those moves, I don't believe I'd even be a winning player. Granted that sometimes my moves fail, but that doesn't take away that in general they work out and bring me alot of chips. (Both due to folds, and due to getting paid off w/ my big hands.)

Ari
Ok thank you for that.. In other words what you are saying is coming over the top of players is plus EV in the long run and even in the short run... you can win if they fold, which is maybe half the time maybe more or you can win when they call and you have the better hand or even the worst hand but suckout...also they never know if you kave K5 or KK....cool appreciate you clearing that up...

There are certain hands I'm sure ariiiii will or will not resteal with...in fact, AJ is one of those hands I'm sure Ariiii will not resteal with, because if called, he can ONLY hope for a coinflip. Also, this play is risky, but it can get opponents to lay down hands and give ariii a lot of chips without ever seeing a flop..it's better than a traditional steal because it represents more strength...also, i'm sure ariiii picks his spots, he's not just raising with 28 when a v tight ep player raises...he even said it was a mp raiser
